Love Hearing!

Common Myths

Hearing aids are big, bulky, uncomfortable and stick out like a sore thumb.

FACT:  The latest hearing aid technology designs are smaller and sleeker.  They weigh only a few ounces and are virtually invisible.

Hearing aids cost too much and are just not affordable.

FACT:  Hearing aids are considered a medical device and are an investment in your health.  We offer all the main manufacturers here at Hearite Chandler Hearing Center.  If you divide the cost of the hearing aids by the hours of use to help you communicate over the next 3-5 years, the price will not seem so high.  Hearing aid prices consist of the costs of research, development of the technology, the manufacturing and your professional services fees.  We have lifetime care and as long as you have your hearing aids, your cleanings and adjustments are with no charge.

I am too old and I don’t want to hassle with hearing aids

FACT:  The age of wearers range from infants to our seniors.  Who doesn’t want to hear our loved ones and music or important information for yourself or a loved one?  Hearing aids are found to help maintain the hearing you have left!  They only require very basic cleaning and battery changes if you don’t choose to go rechargeable.  Many new wearers find that the benefits of hearing outweigh the hassles of hearing aids.  Call us today and let us help you hear better!

REASONS WHY TO TRY

  1.  Improve your balance and your sense of direction of a sound.

  2. Think of your family and friends.  They are the ones who usually serve as your ears.  They will no longer have to repeat themselves or relay messages to you.  A lot of times communication is difficult without hearing aids as the added effort of listening and repeating can increase the stress on your relationships.  Hearing aids help maintain that communication and the bond with your loved ones.
  3. Your social life will be improved.  Reduce your stress and anxiety with less straining to focus on understanding what people are saying.  People with a hearing loss feel that participating in social gatherings can be hard because they cannot hear so they end up staying home.  They withdraw from their activities or seeking company.  At this point, the hearing loss is running your life instead of addressing and fixing the problem.
  4. Reduce the misunderstandings with loved ones.
  5. Hear the fire alarms, emergency sirens, car horns, and all other hazards.
  6. Hearing loss is being linked to dementia, anxiety, depression and withdrawals from activities.
  7. Keep your brain stimulated and keep your cognitive function from declining.  Brain stimulation is greatly reduced when we cannot hear.
  8.  Hearing aids are now smaller and discreet but yet packed with amazing technology.
  9. Hearing loss will not go away and it will not get better.  Without hearing aids, it will most likely get worse.
  10. Tinnitus or ringing in your ears can often be masked or less obvious by wearing properly fitted hearing aids.
  11. The Better Hearing Institute put out a study that found untreated hearing loss negatively affects a household income by $12,000 on average per year.
  12. Hearite offers great discounts on all the name-brand hearing aids.  We accept most insurances and health savings accounts as well as offer insurance discounts.

DOES IT WORK WELL ON THE PHONE?

Using the telephone with your hearing aid can be very important and you don't want to have to deal with annoying feedback or being unable to hear. Some hearing aid models can connect directly with your telephone or offer a special telephone setting. Make sure you know how to use the option that comes with your device or talk with your hearing specialist about extra accessories that may help you.
